ITV Studios Promotes Paul Buccieri to Global Entertainment Chairman

ITV Studios has expanded the purview of U.S. operations chief Paul Buccieri on the heels of the Brit TV giant’s spree of production company acquisitions.

Buccieri, who has headed ITV Studios’ U.S. operations since 2007, has been upped to chairman of ITV Studios U.S. Group and chairman of ITV Studios Global Entertainment. His primary focus will be to oversee and integrate where possible the operations of ITV-owned banners Gurney Prods., High Noon Entertainment, Thinkfactory Media and its most recent acquisitions, Leftfield Entertainment and DiGa Vision.

Maria Kyriacou, managing director of ITV Studios Global Entertainment, will take on responsibility for the production operations outside of the U.S. and U.K. Kyriacou will report to Buccieri for Global Entertainment and Kevin Lygo, managing director of ITV Studios.

“Under Paul’s leadership, the US Group has grown dramatically with the acquisition and operation of our fantastic production companies in the U.S.,” Lygo said. “Our strategy is to further develop and grow the American operation both in reality and scripted, which is key to the success of our global content business.
