U.K. broadcaster ITV has commissioned reality format “Big Family Mansion” from Plimsoll Prods., the company headed by Grant Mansfield, the former CEO of Zodiak USA.

The show challenges a family to live under the same roof with their extended family for one month. They will need to establish family rules and negotiate everything from dividing up bedrooms, voting on meal times, assigning cleaning duties and child care arrangements. At the end of the month, they must decide whether they would ever move in permanently together or go their separate ways.

The show was commissioned for ITV by Richard Klein, director of factual and Jo Clinton-Davies, controller of factual. Mansfield is executive producer.

Earlier this year, ITV commissioned Plimsoll to produce “Prom Crazy: Frocks and Ferraris,” a one-hour documentary detailing the preparation for, and events of, prom night for a group of U.K. teenagers.

Plimsoll, which was set up last year, has produced six projects for U.S. and UK channels so far. Its slate includes natural history series “Predator,” “Life at the Extreme,” a wildlife series for ITV, and “You Should See My Family,” an unscripted comedy show for the BBC.
