GSN has signed on for more trivia and matchmaking, having given a fourth-season order to the Brooke Burns-hosted “The Chase” and a second-season order to “It Takes a Church,” its recently debuted series where Christian congregations across the U.S. help unattached fellow congregants find their partners.

“The Chase,” which will return with a 20-episode order, centers on those brave enough to challenge Mark Labbett (aka “The Beast”) in the ultimate trivia challenge. Based on the highly successful ITV UK format, “The Chase” is produced by ITV Studios America. Bob Boden, Michael Kelpie and Martin Scott are executive producers.

The one-hour “Church” was a ratings hit in its inaugural season, having delivered triple-digit growth among W18-34 (+100%) and W18-49 (+117%), and double-digit growth among W25-54 (+94%), P18-49 (+92%) and P25-54 (+72%), as compared to GSN’s year-to-date time period average. It will return for eight episodes and is produced by Authentic Entertainment. Tom Rogan and Lauren Lexton (“Flipping Out,” “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo”) are executive producers, along with Curnal Aulisio (“The Prophet”). Sean Kelly (“Minute to Win It”) is consulting producer.

Both shows will resume in 2015.

“‘The Chase’ and ‘It Takes a Church’ reflect GSN’s commitment to programming all types of game, from shiny floor to competition elimination,” said Amy Introcaso-Davis, executive vice president, programming, at GSN. “We‘re delighted with the quality, reach and growth of these two original series.”
