Like most recent college grads, Shoshanna of “Girls” will be back in touch with mom and dad in the upcoming season of HBO’s “Girls.”
Ana Gasteyer and Anthony Edwards will play the mother and father of Zosia Mamet’s character in “Girls” Season 4, HBO revealed on Wednesday. The series, which just nabbed its third consecutive Golden Globe nom for best comedy, bows Jan. 11.
Little is known about the Shapiro family unit, but Shoshanna does get irked with her parents when they make a big deal of her diploma signing. The youngest member of the “Girls” entourage will also struggle to find a job, as she blows a job interview on the Jan. 25 episode.
Peter Scolari and Becky Ann Baker also return as the parents of Hannah (Lena Dunham) in the new season, as well as Rita Wilson as the mother of Marnie (Allison Williams). Other returning guest stars include Jon Glaser, Gaby Hoffman, Louise Lasser and Bob Balaban.
Natasha Lyonne, Gillian Jacobs, Marc Maron, Zachary Quinto, Jason Ritter, Maude Apatow and Spike Jonze are also set for guest shots.
