Geena Davis to Guest Star on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

Geena Davis is scrubbing in at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

The Oscar winner has been tapped to play a surgeon on the upcoming season of “Grey’s Anatomy.” While character and plot details are scarce, Variety has been told that the role is a major guest arc.

Davis, who is repped by CAA and Management 360, is a vocal advocate of women in film and television. She starred in the short-lived “Commander in Chief” and appeared in Lake Bell’s indie film “In a World…” She also founded and chairs the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media research-based organization.
