Fox has given a series prototype order to a thriller from Jerry Bruckheimer TV/Warner Bros. TV and drama veteran Aron Eli Coleite.

Fox has ordered a first episode plus multiple back-up scripts for the untitled project, which will shoot this summer. If that episode gets a thumbs-up, the network aims to make a quick transition to a series order by having additional scripts and other materials ready to roll well in advance.

The longer lead time for the development of multiple scripts and the summer shooting timetable are in keeping with the new approach to development outlined by Fox Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly in January.

Project is described as a thriller that uncovers lingering secrets about a suburban family. Coleite is writing the prototype and will exec produce with Jerry Bruckheimer and Bruckheimer TV topper Jonathan Littman. KristieAnne Reed is co-exec producer.

Coleite has developed several projects with the Bruckheimer TV camp in recent years, including pilots for TNT and CBS. He’s most recently worked as a consulting producer on Bruckheimer TV’s CBS thriller “Hostages.”
