E! Sets Premiere Date for ‘Untold With Maria Menounos’

E! has set a July 17 premiere date for Maria Menounos’ news magazine show “Untold With Maria Menounos.”

Each one-hour episode of the entertainment talker, hosted by Menounos, explores three items related to pop culture and celebrity news.  The show will feature interviews with celebrities, Hollywood insiders and topic-specific experts. It will also have segments such as “The Pop Culture Minute,” featuring YouTube and Vine stars, and “The Untold Moment,” offering exclusive interviews with Hollywood personalities. The series also incorporates iPhone video, GoPro, FlipCam and XD-Cam footage into its storytelling.

The premiere episode will take a look at the selfie epidemic and how it has led an increasing number of adults and teens to seek plastic surgery, the effects of social media on the British royal family and Syfy’s reinvention of the creature feature.

Menounos inked a multi-year deal with E! in May and will also be featured on the roundtable series “Live From E!” and upcoming “E! Specials.”

She most recently served as a host of the Daytime Emmy-winning daily entertainment news show “Extra,” alongside Mario Lopez, and previously held reporting gigs on “Nightly News,” the “Today” show and “Access Hollywood.”

“Untold With Maria Menounos” will air as an eight-episode series and is slated to run through Dec. 18.
