Following the announcement that Kristin Chenoweth will play Maleficent in Disney’s telepic “Descendants,” the Mouse House has confirmed the rest of the film’s villainous parents.
Maz Jobrani will play “Aladdin” bad guy Jafar, dad to Jay, played by “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and “Twilight” actor Booboo Stewart.
Kathy Najimy will take on the role of the Evil Queen, mom to Evie, played by newcomer Sofia Carson.
“101 Dalmations” villain Cruella de Vil will be played by Wendy Raquel Robinson. The puppy-napper is the mother of Carlos, played by Cameron Boyce.
Rounding out the list of Disney parents is “Saving Mr. Banks” actress Melanie Paxson in the role of Fairy Godmother, mom to newcomer Brenna D’Amico’s Jane.
The Disney Channel original movie, helmed by Kenny Ortega, highlights the teen offspring of Disney’s classic characters, including its villains. The pic is slated to premiere in 2015.
