CW Sets Dates for Summer Specials, Return of ‘Top Model’

The CW has added a pair of specials to its summer sked, announcing premiere dates on Monday for the “iHeartradio Ultimate Pool Party” and the “2014 Young Hollywood Awards.” The net also has slotted the latest season of “America’s Next Top Model”

CW will air the “iHeartradio Ultimate Pool Party” on  July 9 from 8 to 9:30 p.m.  The daytime and nighttime Miami pool party and concert will be filmed at the famed Fontainebleau Miami Beach, with performances by top musical acts and appearances by CW stars.

The special emerged as part of the multi-year partnership between the network and Clear Channel Media and Entertainment.

The two-hour “Young Hollywood Awards,” based in Los Angeles and airing for a second straight year on the CW, are set for July 28 at 8 o’clock. The special is executive produced by Jay Penske, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Penske Media Corporation (PMC).

PMC is the parent company of Variety.

As for “America’s Next Top Model,” its 21st cycle bows Aug. 22 at 9. Hosted by Tyra Banks, the second “Guys and Girls” edition will feature seven men and seven women living under one roof.
