Colin Quinn has replaced W. Kamau Bell as host of the Writers Guild Awards’ New York ceremony on Feb. 1.

“I’m proud to be hosting the award show for the only people in the business that are as bitter as comedians,” said Quinn.

Bell had to step down as host due to unforeseen conflicts, the WGA East said.

Quinn is touring his one-man show “Colin Quinn Unconstitutional” and has a recurring role on HBO’s “Girls.” He previously served as the host of MTV’s “Remote Control,” SNL’s “Weekend Update” and Comedy Central’s “Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn.”

The Writers Guild Awards will be announced simultaneously at ceremonies in New York and Los Angeles.
