Channing Tatum’s Free Association has added Nellie Stevens-Reed as veep of its television department.
Stevens-Reed joins Free Association from Phantom Four Films, where she served as head of development, overseeing both television and film projects for the company. She was involved in landing “Constantine” and “DaVinci’s Demons” on air at NBC and Starz, respectively, and helped set up several film projects.
“I have long admired the taste and work ethic of these talented gentlemen,” said Stevens-Reed in a statement. “I am thrilled to join their team and work with them to find unique and imaginative content in the television space.”
“Nellie is a star,” added Tatum, Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan, partners at the company. “We’re lucky to have her and look forward to telling some great stories with her.”
The company has a first look television deal with MRC, the studio behind Netflix’s “House of Cards,” and already has projects in development. Free Association recently shot an unscripted pilot for A&E as well as an animated pilot at Comedy Central.
