CBS has canceled the Poppy Montgomery procedural drama “Unforgettable” after three seasons.

The Sony Pictures TV-CBS TV Studios co-production wrapped its second consecutive summer run in September. “Unforgettable’s” cancellation comes a day after CBS renewed two of its summer series — “Under the Dome” and “Extant” — and axed first-year drama “Reckless.”

“Unforgettable” has already cheated death once. It was canceled at the close of its first season, but revived shortly afterward when the Eye decided to rev up its summer original series lineup in 2013. Sony Pictures TV is likely to shop the property to potential cable buyers.

Montgomery stars as a detective with the gift of a perfect, photographic memory. John Belluci created the series and exec produces with Ed Redlich, Ed Decter, Michael Reisz, Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly.
