“New Girl” and “Dads” actress Brenda Song has partnered with Fox Broadcasting Co. and Twentieth Century Fox Television on a talent holding deal that will position her to star in a TV project this development season, Variety has learned.

“After working with Brenda on ‘New Girl’ and ‘Dads’ last season, we simply couldn’t let her go,” said Tess Sanchez, Fox Broadcasting Co. senior VP of casting. “She’s one of the most talented, funny and authentic young actresses out there today. We’ve got an incredible development slate this year, with multiple roles for which Brenda would be the perfect fit, and we can’t wait to cast her in one of our upcoming pilots.”

Song is also known for her roles in “The Social Network,” “Scandal,” “Key & Peele” and “The League.” Starting her career at a young age, she appeared in Disney programs “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” and “Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior.”

She is repped by UTA, Susan and Cami Curtis of Curtis Talent Management and attorney Patti Felker of Felker, Toczek, Suddleson.
