BET Networks has picked up three new original, unscripted series based on the behind-the-scenes lives of three well-known music and television personalities. All three reality docu-series are currently untitled.
“The Untitled Keyshia Cole Project,” consisting of six 30-minute episodes, reintroduces Keyshia Cole following her two previous series, “The Way It Is” and “Family First.” Where previous efforts documented Cole’s relationship strife and eventual success, her new show depicts her role as a wife to NBA player Daniel Gibson and mother, along with the complications and setbacks that come along with those responsibilities.
“The Untitled Nelly Project,” consisting of eight one-hour episodes, goes into the life of hip hop icon Nelly as he navigates both his business life and his personal life. With his own clothing line, Apple Bottoms, and co-ownership of the Charlotte Bobcats basketball team, Nelly has a lot on his plate in the public eye — but his personal life, as father to his own and his deceased sister’s children, will also be explored in the series.
“The Untitled Manns Project,” consisting of eight 30-minute episodes, features Tamela and David Mann, known for their work on several Tyler Perry productions, including “Meet the Browns.” The new series will take a look at the Manns’ professional celebrity careers, as well as their more private life as a married couple with four adult children.
None of the three projects have yet been given a premiere date.
