Beau Willimon Partners with Nat Geo for Karl Bushby Story

“House of Cards” creator Beau Willimon will be showing a different side of Washington, D.C. — this time as an executive producer on “The 3,000,” National Geographic Channel’s special following former paratrooper Karl Bushby’s attempt to walk from Los Angeles to the U.S. capital.

“The 3,000” will follow Bushby on his cross-country adventure to share his story of dedication and perseverance.  Viewers will also be able to follow his progress through GPS tracking on Bushby’s website and via Twitter and Instagram.

The special is being produced for National Geographic Channel by Westward Productions with Willimon and Jordan Tappis in the executive producer seats.  Zach Guglin will also produce, with Kathleen Cromley, Nat Geo’s vice president of production and development, as executive producer for the network.
