“Allen Gregory” co-creators Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul have grabbed a put pilot commitment for “The Grinder,” a comedy at Fox revolving around two brothers.
“Neighbors” helmer Nick Stoller is on board as exec producer and he may direct the single-camera pilot, should “Grinder” be ordered. Mogel and Paul are co-writing the pilot and are exec producing for 20th Century Fox TV.
Mogel and Paul (pictured) previously created the Fox animated series “Allen Gregory,” a collaboration with actor Jonah Hill that had a short run in 2011. The pair most recently collaborated on the screenplay for the indie comedy “The D Train,” starring Jack Black and James Marsden.
Mogel, Paul and Stoller are repped by UTA. Mogel and Paul are with Mosiac and Ziffren Brittenham. Stoller’s with attorney Bryan Wolf.
