ABC Orders Comedy Pilots From Lauren Iungerich, Emily Kapnek

ABC has ordered pilots for “Damaged Goods” and “Selfie,” two comedies hailing from Warner Bros. TV.

Penned by “Awkward” creator Lauren Iungerich, “Damaged Goods” is a single-cam comedy about the sexual politics that have changed between men and women in the post-feminist era. Iungerich will exec produce the laffer, which marks her first major project since departing her MTV dramedy last summer.

“Selfie” is written and exec produced by Emily Kapnek, and was inspired by “My Fair Lady.” Comedy tells the story of a self-obsessed 20-something woman who is more concerned with social media “likes” than being liked. After suffering a public and humiliating breakup, she becomes the subject of a viral video and enlists the help of a marketing expert at her company to help repair her tarnished image. Pilot will be produced by Piece of Pie Prods. in association with WBTV.
