Discovery’s Andrew Jackson Joins Plimsoll Productions

Plimsoll Productions has added veteran unscripted TV producer Andrew Jackson as executive vice president of international production and has signed with William Morris Endeavor for representation, the UK-based production company announced Wednesday.

Jackson will report directly to Plimsoll chief executive Grant Mansfield, working with Mansfield and the company’s agents at WME to to develop a U.S. expansion strategy for Plimsoll.

“Andrew is a leader in factual/non-fiction documentary filmmaking, has more than two decades experience of working in the U.S. market and is the perfect executive to help Plimsoll expand Stateside,”  said Mansfield. “He is a respected producer, an inspiring storyteller and has a successful track record of innovative programming.”

Jackson joins Plimsoll from Discovery Channel, where he served as EVP of production and development of landmark series and specials. Prior to Discovery, Jackson worked as managing director for Tigress Productions before serving as head of the natural history unit at the BBC.

Plimsoll Productions recently announced their upcoming reality series “Prom Crazy: Frocks and Ferraris,” which is set to air in Britain later this year.
