Kristin Davis is poised to appear in the West End stage adaptation of “Fatal Attraction,” with the actress lining up a role in the thriller as the wife of the man who is trapped in an affair with a vengeful woman.

A rep for the production wouldn’t confirm the casting, but sources indicated that Davis will take on the part played by Anne Archer in the movie incarnation. Natascha McElhone is already on tap to star as Alex Forrest, the role portrayed in the 1987 pic by Glenn Close, while the thesp playing the central Michael Douglas role has yet to be cast.

Penned by the film’s screenwriter, James Dearden, the stage adaptation will be directed by Trevor Nunn (“Cats,” “Les Miserables,” “Arcadia”).

Davis, best known as one of the lead characters in “Sex and the City” and the subsequent films, will next be seen in CBS skein “Bad Teacher.” She’s appeared on Broadway in “The Best Man” and on the West End in “The Exonerated.”

“Fatal Attraction” is set to begin previews March 8 ahead of a March 25 opening at the Theater Royal Haymarket in London.
