Will Ferrell’s Gary Sanchez Launches Women-Focused TV and Film Prod Co.

Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy’s Gary Sanchez has found a new life partner: The production company announced today that it is starting Gloria Sanchez Productions, a female-focused film and TV division that will be headed by longtime Gary Sanchez exec Jessica Elbaum and will be looking to establish new female voices.

“When Jessica came to us with this idea, we thought it was fantastic,” Ferrell and McKay said in a statement. “She has worked with some of the great female voices in comedy and has proven herself as a gifted producer who has a keen eye for material.”

The Gary Sanchez company founded the Funny or Die video site in 2007 and also co-produced TV shows “Eastbound & Down” and “Drunk History” and films “Step Brothers,” “Bachelorette” and “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.”
