“Saturday Night Live” cast member Taran Killam is starring in the comedy “Brothers in Law” with Bill Pullman, Rachael Harris, Rita Wilson, David Wain and fellow “SNL” star Bobby Moynihan.

“SNL” creator Lorne Michaels is producing and the team of Matt Villines and Osmany Rodriguez is directing. Shooting began on Tuesday in Oregon.

The original script was written by Cameron Fay with Killam amd Mikey Day performing rewrites. The story is described as having elements of “Meet the Parents” and “What About Bob?”

Fay and Harris have been tweeting photos from the set.

Villines and Rodriguez have directed and edited comedy shorts for Funny or Die, including “24/7 Blake Griffin: Intern” and “The New Guy on New Girl with Zooey Deschanel,” and segments on “Newsreaders.”

Michaels has a first-look deal at Paramount through his Broadway Video banner. His biggest successes for the studio were “Wayne’s World” and “Mean Girls”; his most recent productions are the Barbra Streisand-Seth Rogen comedy “The Guilt Trip” and an untitled bank robbery project about the 1997 Loomis Fargo heist for Relativity.
