‘Wolverine’ Star Joins Horror-Thriller ‘Lady of Csejte’

Shooting underway in Transylvania

Glacier Films has launched production of historical thriller “Lady of Csejte” in Transylvania with Russian actress Svetlana Khodchenkova (“The Wolverine,” “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy”) in the title role.

Isabelle Allen (“Les Miserables”) also stars.

Steven Schneider (“Paranormal Activity”) is producing the film, the first of a new four-picture producing deal he signed with Glacier. Schneider previously produced horror-comedy “Cooties,” starring Elijah Wood, Alison Pill and Rainn Wilson which is premiering at Sundance next week.

First-time feature director Andrei Konst is helming “Lady” from a script by Matthew Jacobs, based on the life of serial killer Countess Bathory, who killed hundreds of children in 16th century Transylvania.

Other producers include Glacier Films’ Tove Christensen, Sarik Andreasyan, Gevond Andreasyan, Georgy Malkov and Vladimir Poliakov. Hayden Christensen and Wendy Rhoads are executive producing.

The Christensen brothers announced at Cannes that they were launching Glacier Films. The company has also made “American Heist,”  which stars Hayden Christensen, Adrien Brody, Akon and Jordana Brewster.

Glacier Films and “Lady” are repped by Paradigm.
