Stephen Collins Fired From ‘Ted 2’ Following Child Molestation Allegations

Stephen Collins has been fired from “Ted 2” after reports surfaced that the NYPD was investigating the “7th Heaven” actor on suspicion of child molestation, sources confirm.

He also resigned from the SAG-AFTRA board on Tuesday.

Collins, who recently appeared in NBC’s “Revolution,” was allegedly caught on tape admitting to an incident in which he exposed himself to a 10- year-old girl.

TMZ first broke the story on Tuesday.

Collins starred in the “7th Heaven” series in the late 1990s opposite Jessica Biel and has appeared on ABC’s “Scandal” and “The Fosters.”

“There is a formal complaint on file and the incident is being investigated by the Manhattan Special Victims Squad,” a law enforcement official told Fox411.

A spokeswoman for the actor could not be reached for comment.
