The full-length trailer for dark comedy “The Skeleton Twins” sees “Saturday Night Live” alums Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig perfectly illustrating the trials and tribulations of reuniting with a sibling after a decade apart.

“The Skeleton Twins” is director Craig Johnson’s second film; the first was 2009 indie film “True Adolescents.” The screenplay was co-written by Johnson and his college friend Mark Heyman. Mark Duplass produced the movie, which scooped the Waldo Salt screenwriting award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

Luke Wilson and Ty Burrell also star in the film as Wiig’s husband and Hader’s ex-lover, respectively. Joanna Gleason, Kathleen Rose Perkins and Adriane Lenox round out the main cast.

The dramedy centers around a pair of estranged twins who reunite after cheating death on the same day to figure out where their lives went wrong. In addition to “SNL,” Hader and Wiig both made appearances in “Knocked Up” and lent their voices to “Her.”

In his review, Variety‘s Geoff Berkshire praised the “knockout performances” from Hader and Wiig, describing the film as a “character-driven crowdpleaser.”

“The Skeleton Twins” bows Sept. 19.
