Sierra McCormick (Disney’s “A.N.T. Farm”), Grace Phipps (“Teen Beach”) and Ronen Rubinstein have been cast as the leads in the indie horror film “Some Kind of Hate.”
“Hate” begins shooting this week in Los Angeles with Adam Egypt Mortimer directing from a script he co-wrote with novelist Brian DeLeeuw (“In This Way I Was Saved”).
Caliber Media partners Dallas Sonnier and Jack Heller arranged the financing and will produce alongside Amanda Mortimer and Gabriela Revilla’s Revek Entertainment.
Lexi Atkins, who stars in “Zombeavers” and, as the current Miss Illinois, will compete in June’s Miss USA contest, has also been cast along with Michael Polish, Noah Segan, Spencer Breslin, Maestro Harrell, Jasper Polish, Jeremy Hawkins and Brando Eaton.
“Hate” follows a tightly wound kid who is a favorite target for the local high school bullies. Sent away to a remote desert reform school, the harassed teenager accidentally summons a vengeful spirit to exact revenge on his tormentors.
