Sean Faris (pictured above), Sarah Roemer, Frank Deal, James Saito and news host Leslie Marshall are starring in indie sci-fi movie “The App.”
Production will start Monday in New York.
“The App” will be directed by Dena Hysell (“The Paladins”) and Isak Borg and produced by Rumpus Room Productions. Special effects will be handled by Brian Spears (“We Are What We Are”).
“The App” script, written by Borg and Golan Ramras, depicts a brilliant mind’s descent into madness. The story was inspired by the massive use of new technologies which intersect with psychopharmacology for therapeutic purposes.
“With all the scientific advancements coming through in rapid succession, we found the idea of showing the both sides intriguing,” Hysell said. There’s the glossy success and the other side of the coin where human frailty lurks – drawing us as viewers more deeply in.”
Faris appeared on “Pretty Little Liars.” Marshall is a regular on “The O’Reilly Factor” and “America Live.”
