Robert Pattinson-Starring ‘Rover’ Among SPAA Nominations

HONG KONG — Joel Edgerton-starring “Felony,” Colin Firth-starring “The Railway Man” and Robert Pattinson-starring “The Rover” are among the movies nominated for the 14th Screen Producers Australia Awards.

Two others, “Wolf Creek 2” and “Tracks,” which opened modestly in North America this weekend, are also nominated in the feature film production section.

The TV movie or mini-series production series nominations include Screentime’s “ANZAC Girls,” FremantleMedia Australia’s “Better Man,” Shine Australia’s “INXS: Never Tear Us Apart,” Endemol Australia’s “Power Games: The Packer-Murdoch Story,” and Every Cloud Productions’ “The Gods of Wheat Street.”

Award recipients will be revealed at the Screen Producers Australia Awards to be held in Melbourne, on November 18 as part of the annual Screen Forever conference.
