Ray Winstone Joins Alcon’s ‘Point Break’ Reboot (EXCLUSIVE)

Ray Winstone is in negotiations to play Luke Bracey’s partner in Alcon’s reboot of “Point Break,” which also stars Gerard Butler.

Ericson Core is helming the pic.

The remake will retain the original story of an FBI agent infiltrating a ring of criminals, but will be set in the world of extreme sports. Winstone plays the older, veteran partner of Bracey, which Gary Busey famously played in the 1991 original.

Alcon’s Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove are producing along with John Baldecchi, Chris Taylor and Kurt Wimmer.

Winstone can currently be seen in Paramount’s “Noah” and can be seen later this year in the Silver Pictures pic “The Gunman” starring Sean Penn. He is repped by Resolution and Creative Artists Management.
