If there’s one lesson to be taken from the new “Sex Tape” red band trailer, it’s that technology is never to be trusted.
In an attempt to rekindle the spark in their relationship, Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz’s characters decide to make a — you know — sex tape. But instead of deleting it, the video accidentally gets uploaded to the “cloud” — the mysterious place where people send files to share among friends, family or whomever — that is also synced to the many iPads the pair gave out as presents.
What ensues is a hilarious mission to steal back the iPads from their bosses, mothers, friends and even the mail carrier so that no one can see their private video.
“Sex Tape” bows July 25.
