With awards season approaching, New Regency has hired industry veterans Jeff Elefterion and Heta Paarte to run the domestic and international marketing departments respectively.

Elefterion will serve as the domestic marketing chief, joining from The Weinstein Company where he most recently served as head of creative advertising. Elefterion spent 18 years with the Weinsteins and oversaw more than 70 marketing campaigns.

Paarte, based in the UK office, will serve as New Regency’s international marketing chief. She had been at  Focus Features since 2002 and most recently served as exec VP of international marketing and distribution.

New Regency’s upcoming releases include David Fincher’s “Gone Girl,” starring Ben Affleck and set for Oct. with Fox; Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s dark comedy “Birdman,” starring Michael Keaton with Fox Searchlight on Oct. 17; and Cameron Crowe’s Untitled film, starring Bradley Cooper, Rachel McAdams and Emma Stone to be released on Dec. 25 with Sony distributing domestically and Fox handling international.
