Relativity and the Weinstein Company have again delayed the U.S. release date for Natalie Portman’s indie Western “Jane Got a Gun” from Feb. 20 to Sept. 4.
“Jane” had originally been dated for last Aug. 29, but was then pushed back six months.
Portman stars as a woman who asks an ex-lover, portrayed by Joel Edgerton, for help in saving her outlaw husband from a gang out to kill him. Noah Emmerich plays the husband, and Ewan McGregor portrays the gang leader.
Relativity and TWC acquired “Jane” last year at Cannes. Gavin O’Connor directed, replacing Lynne Ramsay as helmer just as shooting was to start in New Mexico.
Relativity had announced on Nov. 4 that it had dated horror film “Lazarus” for Feb. 20.
