Warner Bros. and Chernin Entertainment look to have all engines running for “Gumball 3000,” their pic revolving around the famous race.

Trey Kollmer and John Blickstead have come on to pen the script for the WB and Chernin co-production,  which is a comedic thriller based on the international road rally that covers 3000 miles of public roads. The race is currently in its 17th year.

Chernin Entertainment is producing with Gumball 3000 rally founder Maximillion Cooper executive producing the film.

Jesse Ehrman and Racheline Benveniste are overseeing the project on behalf of the studio, and David Ready is overseeing on behalf of Chernin Entertainment.

Blickstead and Kollmer are better known for their work on television shows like “Animal Rescue” and “Mixology.” This marks the duo’s first joint project on a major studio movie.

They are repped by CAA and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush & Kaller.
