Milo Ventimiglia and Rachel Melvin are set to star in the indie drama “Madtown.”

The pic will be written and directed by Charles Moore with Steven Campanella, Liz Duchez, David Spodak and J. Scott Scheel producing.

Story revolves around Ventimiglia’s character, a survivor of an awful childhood that saw his sister sent away for murdering his abusive parents who, as an adult, finds support and acceptance after getting a job at a restaurant. This doesn’t last long after his sister gets out of prison on parole and returns to her role as a bossy, protective older sibling. Her first act is to insist that he leave his new found friends and go with her to Chicago.

Ventimiglia, who is repped by CAA and Management 360, has a handful of films set to bow this year, including “Grace of Monaco” and “Wild Card.”

Melvin just wrapped production on “Dumb and Dumber To,” which bows in November, and the comedy “Zombeavers.” She is repped by CAA and Authentic Management.
