Iron Man 3” screenwriter Drew Pearce will direct action-comedy “The Long Run” for Chernin Entertainment and 20th Century Fox from his own script.

The logline is being kept under wraps other than it being a crime-based project.

Pearce also wrote the script for Tom Cruise’s “Mission: Impossible 5.” He recently directed a short film for Marvel, “All Hail The King,” described as a “sort-of-sequel” to “Iron Man 3” and starred Ben Kingsley, Scoot McNairy and Sam Rockwell.

Pearce also sold Fox his script “Delinquents,” a comedy that he co-wrote and co-produces with Jason Segel. The actor is also attached to star.

Pearce is represented by WME and Warren Dern of Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern.
