IFC films has acquired North American rights to Saverio Costanzo’s romance “Hungry Hearts,” starring Adam Driver, Alba Rohrwacher and Roberta Maxwell.

Mimi Steinbauer’s Radiant Films Intl. is selling foreign rights at AFM.

Producers are Mario Gianani and Lorenzo Mieli of Wildside, together with Rai Cinema; exec producers are Louis Tisne, Riccardo Neri, Olivia Sleiter and Chris Marsh.

“Hungry Hearts” had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where it won both the Coppa Volpi Awards for Driver and Rohrwacher.

Driver plays an American and Rohrwacher an Italian who get marrried after a whirlwind romance. Her pregnancy causes a crisis in the relationship.

The deal was negotiated by Arianna Bocco, IFC’s senior VP of aquisitions and production, with Steinbauer on behalf of the filmmakers.
