AFM: Ian McKellen, Danny DeVito, Sylvester Stallone Join Voice Cast of ‘Animal Crackers’

Ian McKellen, Danny DeVito and Sylvester Stallone have joined the voice cast of animated project “Animal Crackers” from Scott Christian Sava’s Blue Dream Studios.

Blue Dream is producing with Beijing Wen Hua Dongrun Investment Co. and China Film Co. Odin’s Eye Entertainment is handling international sales at AFM.

The film is about a family whose life is turned upside-down when they inherit a rundown circus and a mysterious box of animal crackers, which magically change the person who eats them into animals. Sava is co-directing with Tony Bancroft (“Mulan”) from a script he co-wrote with Dean Lorey.

The rest of the voice cast includes Patrick Warburton, Gilbert Gottfried, Raven Symone, Harvey Fierstein, James Arnold Taylor, Tara Strong and Lydia Taylor.

Production has launched on the film, set to be completed in the summer of 2016.
