Even Effie Trinket looks drab in the new characters posters for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1.”
Six new posters have been unveiled for the upcoming installment in the “Hunger Games” franchise, and a very dark world is on display.
Included in the set is Philip Seymour Hoffman in his final film role as game-maker Plutarch Heavensbee; Jeffrey Wright as Beetee Latier, a Hunger Games winner who used his tech genius to find victory; Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy, the alcoholic mentor to Katniss Everdeen; Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair, another Hunger Games champion who joined the rebellion; Julianne Moore as President Coin, the leader of District 13 who heads the rebellion; and Elizabeth Banks as the usually colorful Effie Trinket.
Lionsgate had previously unveiled a District 13 website at District13.co.in, where fans could find the posters by following clues.
The movie also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Michelle Forbes, Natalie Dormer, Stef Dawson, Evan Ross, Gwendoline Christie, Patina Miller, Wes Chatham, Elden Henson and Robert Knepper. It’s directed by Francis Lawrence and based on the novel by Suzanne Collins.
“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” opens Nov. 21 and “Part 2” will open a year later, Nov. 20, 2015.
