Hilary Swank and Joel Schumacher will take home special awards from the 2014 Hamptons Intl. Film Festival, which also has set the slates for its Golden Starfish competitive categories.

Swank, who’s attending the festival for the centerpiece screening of “The Homesman,” scores Variety‘s Creative Impact in Acting Award. She’ll also participate in a master class discussion moderated by Variety executive editor Steven Gaydos, as part of HIFF’s “A Conversation With…” series. Schumacher, who nabs HIFF’s Golden Starfish Lifetime Achievement in Directing Award, also will headline an event in the “Conversation With” series.

In addition, HIFF has lined up the titles for its Golden Starfish competitions in feature narrative and doc categories, as well as short narrative and the newly added short doc sections. Among the features on the lineup are narrative outings Melanie Laurent’s “Breathe” and Peter Strickland’s “Duke of Burgundy,” as well as docs from Margaret Brown (“The Great Invisible”) and Tamara Erde (“This Is My Land”).

The full slates are listed on the HIFF website.
