Giovanni Ribisi to Play Presidential Adviser Lee C. White in ‘Selma’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Giovanni Ribisi has joined the cast of Paramount’s Martin Luther King Jr. biopic “Selma,” starring David Oyelowo as King and Tom Wilkinson as Lyndon B. Johnson.

Ribisi will play Lee C. White, an adviser to John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson who was critical to the presidential strategies revolving around the civil rights movement.

Ava DuVernay is directing the pic.

Brad Pitt’s Plan B and Oprah Winfrey are producing, and production is under way.

Ribisi was last seen in Warner Bros.’ “Gangster Squad” and Universal’s “A Million Ways to Die in the West” and can be seen next in “A Many Splintered Things” alongside Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie.

He is repped by CAA, Management 360 and attorney Gretchen Rush.
