Daniel Espinosa is in talks to direct the Warner Bros. thriller “Blood on Snow” which will be produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and developed as a starring vehicle for the actor.
DiCaprio will produce along with his producing partner Jennifer Davisson Killoran through their Appian Way banner along with Kevin McCormick’s Langley Park.
Pic will be based on the Jo Nesbo novel which follows a hitman, who after failing a recent job, must go on the run from the mob along with his former boss’ wife.
Jon Berg and Cate Adams will oversee for the studio.
Espinosa previously directed the box office smash “Safe House” for Universal. His next pic “Child 44,” starring Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman, bows later this year. He is repped by UTA and Magnolia Entertainment.
