Disney has released the first trailer for Kenneth Branagh’s live-action adaptation of “Cinderella,” which sees “Game of Thrones” alum Richard Madden channeling his inner Prince Charming for Lily James’ titular heroine.

The trailer also features Cate Blanchett embracing her evil side as our heroine’s stepmother, Lady Tremaine, while Helena Bonham Carter appears as the bubbly Fairy Godmother — a pronounced reversal from her previous Disney role as “Alice in Wonderland’s” Red Queen. Rounding out the cast are “Captain America” star Hayley Atwell as Cinderella’s mother and Stellan Skarsgård as the Grand Duke, with Holliday Grainger and Sophie McShera playing Cinderella’s stepsisters.

While the story treads familiar ground in some very fancy footwear, the visual effects seem to succeed in capturing the whimsy of the animated original, especially as Ella’s mice are transformed into horses for her pumpkin coach.

The reimagined fairytale will hit theaters on March 13, 2015.
