Fox 2000 and Chernin Entertainment are circling Charlie Hunnam and Margot Robbie to star in “The Mountain Between Us.”

Hany Abu-Assad will direct with Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and David Ready producing.

The story follows two people who survive a plane crash in the mountains, where they are forced to trust each other and find safety while badly injured.

The studio has eyed Robbie for awhile, and sources say the decision on whether she comes on board is in early stages, as she is weighing several projects including DreamWorks’ “Ghost in the Shell” and filming Warner Bros.’ “Tarzan.”

Hunnam has gained a lot of steam as of late, with his FX drama “Sons of Anarchy” coming to a close. He is currently being circled to play King Arthur in “King Arthur: Knights of the Round Table” for Warner Bros.

Robbie is repped by CAA, Management 360 and Aran Michael Management while Hunnam is repped by CAA. Deadline Hollywood first reported the news.
