Sold at Cannes by Showgate Entertainment, “Ju-On: The Beginning of the End” is set for a local theatrical Japanese release in late June.
The story involves a classroom teacher who visits the home of a student who has gone missing from class and gets sucked into a whirl of horror.
Cast includes Nozomi Sasaki (“Tenshi no Koi”, “My Life Changed When I Went to a Sex Parlor”,) who will also be in upcoming “The Furthest End Awaits” by Chiang Hsu Chiaung, and Sho Aoyagi (“KON-SHIN”, “Tokyo Nanmin”).
The film has been widely sold in Asia and Showgate expects to close other deals during the Cannes Market.
