Sony Pictures has set “Machinist” helmer Brad Anderson to direct the action pic “Shadow Run.”
Neal H. Moritz and Hernany Perla are producing.
The plot details are being kept under wraps, but insiders have described the film as “Safe House” on a plane.
Sony bought the spec, that Joe Gazzam penned, last February after several studios entered the mix for it. Michael De Luca and Andrea Giannetti are overseeing for the studio.
Anderson last directed “The Call” starring Halle Berry. Other past credits include “Eliza Graves” starring Kate Beckinsale and “Transsiberian” starring Woody Harrelson.
He has also directed a handful of TV episodes for shows like “Boardwalk Empire” and “The Killing.”
He is repped by WME and LBI Entertainment.
