UPDATE: A body of a woman, who police believe may be missing “August: Osage County” actress Misty Upham, was found Thursday in Seattle suburb Auburn.

According to a statement on the Facebook page of the Auburn Police Department, police received a call that a body was found near a wooded area. The body was recovered at the bottom of an embankment near the White River.

A purse containing identification of Misty Upham was at the scene, however, at this time the medical examiner has not made a positive identification nor a determination of cause of death,” reads the statement.

The statement adds that the body was found by a family member of Upham’s, who was in the area searching for her.

The 32-year-old actress, also known for roles in “Django Unchained” and “Frozen River,” was reported missing by her family on Oct. 6.

A day before going missing, Upham’s family reportedly told the police she was suicidal. She had moved to Seattle to help take care of her father, who was recovering from a stroke. Her father said that he did not believe she would commit suicide, saying that she “just decided to leave home for awhile.”

“She doesn’t believe in killing herself,” her father Charles Upham told KIRO-TV. “She believes that is a sin and she would never do that.”

Charles Upham also noted that his daughter had stopped taking her medication for anxiety and bi-polar disorder.

Misty Upham played Johnna Monevata in “August: Osage County,” the cast of which was nominated for a 2014 SAG Award. She was also nominated for an Independent Spirit Award in 2009 for her work in “Frozen River.”
