First Look at ‘Batman v Superman’ Star Henry Cavill On Set as Clark Kent

'Batman v Superman' Set Photo: Henry

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Henry Cavill in costume as Clark Kent on the set of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” While Superman’s alter-ego is seen without his iconic glasses in the behind-the-scenes shot, Cavill is unmistakably inhabiting Superman’s secret identity as Daily Planet reporter Clark Kent — for further proof, check out the name on his director’s chair.

Proving that he’s equally heroic off-screen, Cavill was photographed showing his support for the U.K.’s Royal Marine 1664 Challenge, displaying a shirt for the event, which is a fundraiser to help wounded and severely injured Royal Marines transition back into civilian life.

Cavill is an ambassador for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund, which tweeted the photo.

The newest installment in the superhero franchise stars Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent opposite Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne, a.k.a. Batman.  Amy Adams is set to reprise her “Man of Steel” role of Lois Lane, while “Game of Thrones” actor Jason Momoa will appear as Aquaman/Arthur Curry, and Gal Gadot (“Fast and Furious 6”) will make her debut as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is currently slated for a May 2016 release.

  5. Larry says:

boycott all mavel charachter films that are not connected to the Marvel Universe! The other studios need to work with marvel studios or they dont get our patronage. Spread the word!

  6. Nicster says:

Gal Gadot as wonderwoman… I have a very hard time believing she can pull it, even remotely off.
She has the frame of a 18 year old catwalk model, not an Amazon war goddess. She’s 5’10” witch isn’t to shabby, but no way near the 6′ something she is supposed to depict.
I haven’t seen alot of onscreen action from her, but what I have seen (Knight and Day) she didn’t seem to demand alot of screen presence. Granted she didn’t have alot of screen action, so this is debatable. Maybe her appearence in FAF6 will shed some light.

  7. Mike Bourque says:

I think Ben Affleck will make a good Batman

  8. Superman, maybe; Batman…hell no…think of Clooney in the cowl…love him but “No”.

While good to see a new picture, its just Henry Cavill standing there. Its hard to see its Clark Kent without the glasses.

Lets do the picture in California with the rest of the crew left behind. You do cars in Detroit, we do movies in Hollywood. Yes on AB 1839 !! for your politician

  12. tandaemonium says:

That isn’t Clark Kent. That’s just Superman. Clark wears glasses. Duh.

  13. Dave Andrews says:

Wow. That does not look like the geeky goodie-two-shoes Superman we’re used to. Sweet!

  14. Chelsea says:

    Looking good as always. :)

  15. Andrew says:

I feel like that’s not him on set. Is been known for a while that he would look different. Not costume wise, but hair wise. It’s suppose to be trimmed down in this one but it still looks the same.
