Andrew J. West’s Comedy ‘Walter’ Gets North American Distribution

In a pre-American Film Market deal, Entertainment One Films has acquired the North American distribution rights indie comedy “Walter,” starring Andrew J. West (“The Walking Dead”).

Beta Cinema will be selling international rights at AFM. eOne is planning a day-and-date theatrical and VOD release in the spring.

Anna Mastro (“Gossip Girl”) directed from Paul Shoulberg’s screenplay, adapted from his short story of the same name.

West stars as Walter, an usher at a movie theater who believes he is the son of God with the responsibility of deciding whether people go to heaven or hell. Virginia Madsen plays his neurotic mother and William H. Macy portrays a psychiatrist.

Neve Campbell, Peter Facinelli, Justin Kirk, Jim Gaffigan, Milo Ventimiglia and Levin Rambin also star. Producers are Ryan Harris, Brenden Patrick Hill, Christine Holder, Mark Holder and Benito Mueller.
