Aaron Paul Joins Jamie Dornan in Miramax’s ‘The 9th Life of Louis Drax’

Aaron Paul is set to co-star with Jamie Dornan in the Miramax thriller “The 9th Life of Louis Drax.”

Alexandre Aja is directing the pic.

The film is based on Liz Jensen’s best-selling novel, which revolves around a psychologist (Dornan) who begins working with a young boy who has suffered a near-fatal fall and finds himself drawn into a mystery that tests the boundaries of fantasy and reality.

Paul will play the boy’s father.

Max Minghella penned the script and will produce along with Aja, Tim Bricknell and Shawn Williamson.

Paul, who is repped by UTA and Leverage Management, recently won his third Emmy for his role as Jesse Pinkman in AMC’s “Breaking Bad.” He was last seen in DreamWorks’ “Need for Speed” and recently wrapped production on Open Road’s “Triple Nine.”

He will next appear opposite Christian Bale in Fox’s “Exodus: Gods and Kings” and Russell Crowe in “Fathers and Daughters.”

Cannes Film Review: 'Matthias & Maxime'

If there’s one term that Xavier Dolan probably never wants or needs to hear again, it’s “enfant terrible.” Irresistible to use when the Québécois auteur was 19, rattling out of the gate with his antsy, angry lash-out of a debut, “I Killed My Mother,” it’s followed him doggedly through a series of variously spiky, variably [...]
