The Savannah Film Festival will offer premiere screenings of “5 to 7,” “Big Hero 6,” “Escobar: Paradise Lost,” “Foxcatcher” (pictured),  “The Homesman,” “The Humbling,” “The Imitation Game,” “Two Days, One Night” and “Whiplash” at this year’s edition

Hosted by the Savannah College of Art and Design, the annual event, running Oct. 25-Nov. 1 in Savannah, Ga., has added After Dark, five films from the horror, thriller and supernatural genres, this year to its regular premiere and competition screenings.

Signature series selections, which will conclude with a discussion with representatives from the films, include “A Small Section of the World,” “Cathedrals of Culture 3D,” “Dragon Nest: Warriors’ Dawn,” “Field of Lost Shoes,” “Hunted,” “The Last Patrol” and “The Normal Heart.”

The new After Dark series will show “The Babadook,” “Creep,” “Good Samaritan,” “Horns” and “Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror.”

In all 55 films will also compete to win more than $80,000 in cash and prizes.
