TrustNordisk has closed a raft of sales on Kenneth Kainz’s Scandi fantasy/adventure pic “The Shamer’s Daughter.”

Penned by Anders Thomas Jensen (“In A Better World”), the film – now in post — has been sold to Middle East (Gulf Film), Russia/CIS, (Daro Film Distribution), Estonia (EstinFilm), Former Yugoslavia (Cinemania Group), Thailand (Sahamongkolfilm International Co. Ltd.) and Malaysia, Brunei and Vietnam (Rain Film).

“We are thrilled about the huge interest in ‘The Shamer’s Daughter’ at AFM. This once again consolidates that Scandinavian genre films are in very high demand among international distributors at the moment,” says TrustNordisk CEO Rikke Ennis.

Pic stars Peter Plaugborg (“The Keeper of Lost Causes”), Jakob Oftebro (“Kon-Tiki”),  Soren Malling (“A Hijacking”), Stina Ekblad (“Love Is All You Need”) and Allan Hyde (“True Blood”).

Pic tells the tale of Dina, who has unwillingly inherited her mother’s supernatural ability and is able to look straight into the soul of other people. When her mother is wrongfully accused of horrible murders, Dina sets off to uncover the truth but she finds herself embroiled in a dangerous power struggle with her own life at risk.
